We decided to keep our existing 4x4 cedar posts but wanted to ditch the old balusters. Bought the BLIKA stainless steel cable and the lag screw fasteners to run through the wood. The hardware anchored into the wood posts solidly (make sure you pre-drill!). The wire ropes look super clean against the stained wood and tensioned up easily.

The kit has high-quality mounting hardware for the subfloor (wood or concrete), and we added a wood handrail with black 1/8 inch black cable wire. It takes the guesswork out of ordering separate parts, which I hate. The BLIKA system looks amazing, it's low-maintenance, and the unobstructed view is exactly what we wanted. If you're doing a full deck renovation, this kit makes it simple.
Once it's pulled tight between the posts, it virtually disappears! That wide-open view is exactly why we went with a cable railing system. I guess the railing it ok but the company selling it sucks. You dont receive your order in one delivery. You give them an exact drawing of what you need and they short you on parts and dont offer a couple extras like other companies do. So instead of them sending me one extra fastener i havevto buy 20

We selected BLIKA posts to upgrade our deck railings. Seriously, this thing is a game-changer for a DIYer.
