This kit was a life saver when installing a a cable railing! Great value!

I was very impressed by the sturdiness and build quality of this crimper. The valve seats securely and the hand lever builds pressure immediately to begin to stroke the cylinder. Opening the valve causes the internal return spring to immediately retract the cylinder and open the jaws.
The tool is compact to let you get down into the engine compartment to access the ends of battery/power cables and crimp in place rather than removing cables and building them on the bench. You certainly can, as this tool can also be clamped in the vise and operated in place to crimp ends on cables. This makes the tool even more versatile.
The tool and related jaw dies come in a very sturdy blow-molded case, that will easily last the life of the tool.

Didn't know these existed and with hydraulics is so cool. I love the set in a box so pieces cannot go misplaced and everything is together in one place so I don't have to look around. I did my first crimping and it was so easy and the finished product is so professional. This is a high-quality tool which makes crimping and cable cutting easy and enjoyable, for a task. So much better than what I have used in the past combining with hammering.

Directions are not very good, but I figured it out.

I could have used this when I had to replace a battery cable and didn't know about this yet. Now I'm ready and eager.

Tools worked great

The web description says in one sentence that it is for crimping copper and aluminum. In another sentence it says it will crimp stainless steel. I started a chat with a representative to clarify the conflicting info, the rep said they use it on stainless steel, and the rep said it uses a number 4 die on 1/8" wire rope fittings. The official instructions that came with the crimper says it crimps copper and aluminum but does not mention stainless steel, which leads me to believe it was designed for copper and aluminum and may or may not crimp stainless steel successfully. Secondly, the inside dimension of the number 4 die is approximately 1/8" so there is no way it will be able to crimp a fitting on 1/8" wire rope with a number 4 die. Honestly, I haven't tried to use it yet, so I guess I'll find out. The conflicting information is not reassuring...

Crimping tool works good. Using the cable cutter was a little difficult for my arthritic hands. Overall it did a good job

I bought this crimper to crimp left and right handed lag cable ends. I have previously used other crimpers that were not hydraulic. I really like the hydraulic action. The crimps are more uniform and also stronger. The only negative about this crimper is that it is heavier and a little more difficult to position. Overall a good tool at a good price.

Great product. Working in 90 degree weather the crimpers lost a little power in the sun. But that would be expected. It does come with seal kit which I may be using before project is over. I completed an upper landing today and was very pleased.

Used on a wiring handrail, easy to use.
