We recently remodeled our interior staircase with light oak treads and wanted a modern cable look, but our stairway isn’t super wide. Traditional surface mount posts would have eaten up at least 3–4 inches of walking space. Going with these BLIKA side-mount posts was the best decision we made!

Project was a great experience and Kylie was a great person and really helped me out during the process. The only issue I had was a lot of multiple shipments and 1 item got lost in transit but they sent a replacement quickly. The only issue I had was the screws to mount the railing was very difficult to drill and screw into it. I would suggest you find a better screw without a phiiip head maybe a hex head self drilling screws.

The kit has high-quality mounting hardware for the subfloor (wood or concrete), and we added a wood handrail with black 1/8 inch black cable wire. My husband did the install using the included instructions and online visual instillation help, but just a heads up, you WILL need these specific items to finish the job: a pneumatic crimper, 5/16" ID Black Angle Washers for Cable Railing Stair Ends, and the Stainless Steel 30 Degree Black Angle Beveled Washer for 1/8", 3/16" Cable Railing Hardware. You also need the Cable Railing Angled Washer for the posts.

The cable railing is a bit heavier than I expected—but it feels very sturdy and durable. I installed it on the deck, and it looks clean and modern. I'm very satisfied with the quality.
