This kit was a life saver when installing a a cable railing! Great value!

I was very impressed by the sturdiness and build quality of this crimper. The valve seats securely and the hand lever builds pressure immediately to begin to stroke the cylinder. Opening the valve causes the internal return spring to immediately retract the cylinder and open the jaws.
The tool is compact to let you get down into the engine compartment to access the ends of battery/power cables and crimp in place rather than removing cables and building them on the bench. You certainly can, as this tool can also be clamped in the vise and operated in place to crimp ends on cables. This makes the tool even more versatile.
The tool and related jaw dies come in a very sturdy blow-molded case, that will easily last the life of the tool.

Didn't know these existed and with hydraulics is so cool. I love the set in a box so pieces cannot go misplaced and everything is together in one place so I don't have to look around. I did my first crimping and it was so easy and the finished product is so professional. This is a high-quality tool which makes crimping and cable cutting easy and enjoyable, for a task. So much better than what I have used in the past combining with hammering.

Directions are not very good, but I figured it out.

I could have used this when I had to replace a battery cable and didn't know about this yet. Now I'm ready and eager.

the reason why I’m giving this crimper a three star rating is because I ordered the 10 ton crimper with the accompanying cable cutter. The crimper worked pretty well except the 1/8 inch upper die that are included to crimp the aircraft cable are supposed to be magnetically inserted into the cramping tool, and in my case, the top die would not stay magnetically attached for any reason. Therefore, it kept falling out over and over and over and I actually lost it in the leaves early on in the job. I finally found it with a magnet and I eventually had to glue it to the crimper to get it to stay so that I can finish the work in a timely fashion. had it not been for me having to finish the job, I would have contacted you guys for a replacement. Right now, the 1/8” inch die you’re still glued to the top jaw the crimper! The bottom die stayed in fine during the whole process. The problem is, now I can’t use this crimping tool for any other size other than 1/8 inch. I would love to have a replacement tool sent to me so that I could use it for other applications. I can send you photos if necessary. Thank you.
